Sugar Shack Expands into Arlington

August 2015 – Arlington now has access to area’s hottest new breakfast from Sugar Shack Donuts. Recently awarded the Reader’s Choice Award by USA Today the Richmond-based company is set to open multiple locations in the DMV region. We are very excited about this news, as are many others. Sugar Shack Donuts are a great addition to our area.

The newest location of Sugar Shack is on the ground floor of the mixed-use development Pike 3400, however, it is not open yet. Meanwhile, owner Rob Krupika has been taking customer requests on where they would like to see the next location. Many people are hoping they will open a location near them. (more…)

Len The Plumber Takes Northern Virginia By Storm

November 2015 – To have missed the expansion of Len The Plummer throughout the Northern Virginia area this year, you must have been at the beach.  In the fall of 2015, Tartan Properties Commercial was hired to find Len its first Virginia location with one edict for the tenant representative: at least 100,000 cars per day had to see their sign.  That led Len The Plumber to sign a long-term deal at 10440 Furnace Road right on Interstate 95.  Before the ink was dry on the lease, Len The Plumber launched its advertising blitz on the region to let customers know there is a new industry competitor in Northern Virginia.  Almost immediately Metro Bus ads and a large Google ad campaign buy swept the region. Tartan Properties Event Draws Top CRE Brokers and a Special Guest

December 15, 2015—Tartan Properties Commercial hosted an event today for the top CRE brokers in Northern Virginia and Washington marketplace to showcase six retail and office properties in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, all part of the Monarch Row portfolio. The 50 brokers in attendance were treated to unseasonably warm weather and a festive holiday themed lunch that included a visit from Santa Claus who directed attendees on their walking tour of the featured properties of lower King Street and South Union Street. Trident CrossFit Relocates to New 10,000 SF Facility

January 2015 – Tartan is proud to have once again been selected to assist the area’s premier CrossFit gym Trident CrossFit in their relocation. CrossFit gyms are always a challenge to find space due to the nature of their operations. So how do you find space for a 10,000 square feet facility in an urban area under immense redevelopment pressure? Being patient and creative was the answer for owners Chriss Smith and Andrea Seward Smith.  The new space will allow the gym to continue hosting CrossFit Level 1 and 2 Certification training as well as the widely popular regional SuperFit competitions.
